Usage: Used to temporarily set aside one topic in order to focus on what the speaker considers more important or relevant. "Leaving X aside, let's talk about Y."

Variations:

• はさておき (standard)
• はさておいて (more explicit)

Examples:

冗談はさておき、本題に入りましょう。(Jokes aside, let's get to the main topic.)

結果はさておき、まずは過程を評価すべきだ。(Setting the results aside, we should first evaluate the process.)
