[Extremely; utterly (emotional)]

Connection: い-Adjective / な-Adjective な + かぎりだ

Usage: Used to express that an emotion is felt to the utmost degree. Conveys a very strong emotional state. Only used with adjectives that describe emotions or feelings (not physical states). Common pairings: 嬉しいかぎりだ, 残念なかぎりだ, 心強いかぎりだ.

Examples:

皆さんにお会いできて、嬉しいかぎりです。(I am extremely happy to be able to meet all of you.)

このような結果になり、残念なかぎりだ。(It is utterly regrettable that it turned out this way.)

皆様のご支援をいただき、心強いかぎりです。(Receiving everyone's support, I feel extremely reassured.)
