Usage: Indicates that even from the perspective or standpoint of the mentioned person or entity, the situation remains the same or the problem is not solved. Similar to ～にとっても or ～としても but more emphatic.

Examples:

親にしたところで、子供の気持ちが全てわかるわけではない。(Even from a parent's standpoint, they can't understand all of their child's feelings.)

専門家にしたところで、この問題の解決は難しい。(Even for experts, solving this problem is difficult.)

彼にしたところで、そんなことは望んでいなかっただろう。(Even from his perspective, he probably didn't wish for such a thing.)
