Connection: Verb (て form) + はならない

Usage: A strong, formal prohibition. More emphatic and literary than 「てはいけない」. Often used in rules, regulations, principles, and written language.

Examples:

このことは決して忘れてはならない。(This must never be forgotten.)

戦争の悲劇を繰り返してはならない。(The tragedy of war must not be repeated.)

個人情報を許可なく公開してはならない。(Personal information must not be disclosed without permission.)
