[Ever since / From the time that]

Connection: Verb (て form) + からというもの

Usage: Emphasizes that since a certain event occurred, a continuous change or new state has persisted. Stronger and more dramatic than 「てから」 alone. The change is significant and ongoing.

Examples:

子供が生まれてからというもの、生活が一変した。(Ever since my child was born, my life has completely changed.)

あの事故に遭ってからというもの、車の運転が怖くなった。(Ever since that accident, I've become afraid of driving.)

日本に来てからというもの、毎日が新しい発見の連続だ。(Ever since I came to Japan, every day has been a series of new discoveries.)
