Noun + であろうが

[Even if / Regardless of whether]

Connection: Noun + であろうが / A であろうが B であろうが

Usage: Very similar to であろうと, meaning "even if it is" or "regardless." Often used in paired constructions: AであろうがBであろうが (whether A or B). Slightly more confrontational tone than であろうと.

Examples:

雨であろうが雪であろうが、試合は行われる。(Whether it rains or snows, the game will be held.)

賛成であろうが反対であろうが、決定は覆らない。(Whether you agree or disagree, the decision won't be reversed.)

誰であろうが、ルール違反は許さない。(Whoever it may be, rule violations will not be tolerated.)
