Verb stem + たがる

Connection: Verb stem + たがる

Usage: Expresses a third person's desire to do something, based on observable behavior. While たい is used for the speaker's own desires, たがる describes what others appear to want.

Conjugation: たがる conjugates as a godan verb (たがらない, たがって, etc.)

Examples:

子供はいつも外で遊びたがる。(Children always want to play outside.)

彼は何でも知りたがる。(He wants to know everything.)

妹は新しい服を買いたがっている。(My younger sister wants to buy new clothes.)
