ここ・そこ・あそこ

[Demonstrative place words: here / there / over there]

Usage: Stand-alone words referring to places. No noun needed after them.

Distance system (こ・そ・あ):

• ここ — here (near the speaker)
• そこ — there (near the listener)
• あそこ — over there (far from both)

Common patterns:

• ここは〜です: ここは図書館です (This place is a library)
• ここに/で: ここに座ってください (Please sit here); ここで食べましょう (Let's eat here)
• ここから: ここから近いです (It's close from here)
