Connection: Verb (ない-stem) + ずにはいられない (する → せずにはいられない)
Usage: Expresses that one cannot suppress an emotion or urge and inevitably does something. The action happens naturally, beyond the speaker's control. Formal/written equivalent of ~ないではいられない.
Examples:
あの映画を見ると、泣かずにはいられない。(When I watch that movie, I can't help but cry.)
彼の冗談を聞くと、笑わずにはいられない。(When I hear his jokes, I can't help but laugh.)
この不正を知って、怒らずにはいられなかった。(Upon learning of this injustice, I couldn't help but be angry.)
